Checkerboard Inn
The Checkerboard Inn located in Trucksville, PA is a multi-purpose facility that includes a full size bar, restaurant with outdoor seating and banquet facilities. While I personally haven’t been in the interior banquet hall I can certainly speak for The Grove section of their facility. The Grove section is a large gazebo that can easily accommodate over 100 guests. It is very DJ friendly despite it being outdoors with suitable electrical outlets, setup space, dance space and easy access through a hidden trail. This section is also very kid friendly with plenty of green grass to run on, a kiddie ride corner and a volleyball section. It also includes a full size kitchen and serving area. It is a good choice for private outdoor functions and when the event is over, you can choose to sit out on their deck for a drink!
